Danielle designed and delivered a community research project for Langworthy Cornerstone Association (LCA) of which I have been Chairperson for over 5 years. She worked with asylum seekers and refugees in the area of Seedley and Langworthy, Salford to research their health and wellbeing needs and ideas for the development of activities at LCA to support those needs. She trained and supported this group to carry out the research in consultation with their own communities. She mentored them through the process towards the successful completion of a research report for LCA Management Board and stakeholders. .The research report identified some powerful and emotive issues and medium to longer term opportunities to support ethnic minority groups living in the area, encourage them to access and develop activities at the centre alongside LCA management board and staff. Danielle has excellent research skills, she is an extremely good communicator, teacher, mentor and developed this community research project with skill, proficiency and sensitivity. I would recommend her for further community research projects, she fulfilled a very difficult remit with energy, empathy and her knowledge of community consultation and expertise is outstanding.
